Due to the absence of tightly fitted components, particles can pass through the pump without damage. Abrasive and viscous materials can also be easily pumped without altering the liquid's properties. The pump can run dry and self-prime in many process and waste applications without risk. With no packing or mechanical seals, Wilton pumps are suitable for handling flammable liquids.
